GUN SHOW RULES
Accident prevention and security are the two most important factors in operating a successful gun show. To address these factors police offices and safety officers play a significant part in the show's success. The Gun Show Safety Officer provides direct point of contact between the Gun Show administration and table holders. Working directly under the authority of the Sergeant-At-Arms, primary duty of the Safety Officer is to maintain a safe environment throughout the duration of the show.
SAFETY COMPLIANCE
1. No live, loaded ammo should be brought to the show by any patron but is available for sale by the venders.
2. All guns are tied and rendered inoperable. This means all cartridge and pellet guns too.
3. Guns utilizing clips must have the clips removed even if they are in a display case.
4. Powder and primers must be in original factory packaging and vendors must adhere to quantity limits not exceeding those set by our insurance company.
5. Prohibited items are removed immediately when discovered because they pose an immediate danger to the public.
6. Items not allowed by City of Fenton Ordinance or by the Stratford Inn are not to be sold or distributed.
7. "No Pets Allowed.
8. Stratford Ballroom is a Non-Smoking Venue.
9. No Cameras allowed in the show.
10. Stratford is the exclusive Food & Beverage provider. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGE ALLOWED.
11. All Federal, State & Local Laws must be Obeyed.
12. Radios or TV's are not allowed.
13. All EXITS will remain free and clear.
14. Only Acceptable Items are allowed.
15. No obscene materials.
16. Setup and Breakdown during set hour.
17. Stratford reserve the right to modify any and all rules at anytime for the safety of our guest.
18. Dealer must maintain their displays, at all times, during the show.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS
*Firearms - modern rifles, pistols, shotguns meeting NFA standards, antique rifles, pistols, shotguns, gun cases & bags, gun sights, scopes, stocks, and finishing materials, cleaning kits and materials, parts, cannons earlier than 1898, cannon parts, relics, concealed carry items, individual police officer equipment, clips, loading devices, slings, non-guns, air guns, non-cannons
*Knives - knives, swords, bayonets, sharpening devices, knife making materials, straight, & antique razors
*Loaded Ammunition " No live, loaded ammo should be brought to the show by any patron but is available for sale by the vendors. "
*Military - uniforms meeting original specifications, equipment, manuals
*Indian Artifacts
*Western - reenacting clothing 18th and 19th century, pistol belts and holsters, hats and caps
*Reloading components - Brass cases, bullets, pellets in sealed containers, BB's in sealed containers, reloading equipment, gauges, primers in sealed containers, and nitro powder in sealed containers (no black powder, coated black powder allowed).
*Archery - modern archery equipment (no arrows)
*Art - historical, western, hunting, trench art, scrimshaw, scaled and antique toy soldiers (not dolls)
*Tools - antique
*Hunting - game calls, decoys, traps, skinning equipment, game bags, scent and scent cover items, tarps, hunting tree stands, feeders, guided hunting trips.
*Collectables - books, manuscripts, maps, manuals, magazines, collectable currency, antique business and government records, photographs, coins and stamps.

Important Notice to Dealers and
Other Participants at this Gun Show
This NOTICE applies to activities permitted at bona fide gun shows, as defined in Title 27 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 178.100.
A flea market is not a gun show!
DEALERS LICENSED IN THIS STATE:
MUST comply with all
record keeping requirements of ATF regulations concerning acquisition and
disposition of
firearms, especially recording the place of sale.
MAY dispose of handguns to residents of this state only.
MAY dispose of longguns to residents of any state, provided the
laws of both states are complied with.
MAY dispose of firearms to any
Federal firearm licensee(FFL).
MAY acquire firearms from any FFL licensed in this state, or
from any non-licensed individual.
CANNOT dispose of handguns to out of state residents.
DEALERS NOT LICENSED IN THIS STATE:
MUST comply with all ATF
record keeping requirements concerning acquisitions of firearms.
MAY acquire firearms from any FFL licensed in this state and
from any non-licensed individual.
CANNOT make sales of firearms with delivery, to anyone, even to
or through an FFL licensed in this state.
Can display and take orders only.
NON-LICENSED RESIDENTS OF THIS STATE:
MAY acquire long guns and
handguns from FFLs licensed in this state.
MAY dispose of firearms to any FFL.
MAY acquire from and dispose of personal firearms to
non-licensed residents of this state.
CANNOT acquire from or dispose of firearms to non-licensed
resident of any other state.
NON-LICENSED RESIDENTS FROM ANOTHER STATE:
MAY dispose of firearms
to any FFL.
MAY acquire longguns only from FFLs licensed in this state,
provided the laws of both states are complied with.
CANNOT acquire handguns.
CANNOT dispose of firearms to non-licensed individuals.
A "Gun Show" as defined by Title 27 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 178.100. is...
"(b) A gun show or an event is a function sponsored by any national, State, or local organization, devoted to the collection, competitive use, or other sporting use of firearms, or an organization or association that sponsors functions devoted to the collection, competitive use, or other sporting use of firearms in the community."

Laws
FFL: An "FFL" is a Federal Firearms License. A valid
FFL must be held by anyone selling, manufacturing, or importing guns,
ammunition, and certain gun parts. The laws and fees for getting and holding an
FFL are found in
Title 18, Section 923 of the US Code.
Firearm-related laws are listed in
Title 18, Chapter 44, US Code
and enforced by the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
